add a "Render Thumbnail" button
You know how sometimes the video thumbnail doesn't register (when the posting hangs up)? I know from seeing old support posts that they can be rendered manually by the admins, but is it possible for a simple user to do that, and if so... add a button/link to do that?

show view count and rating in the video list
right now view count is only shown on the video page next to the video and not in video list. You should change that.
Also I would like to see ratings. -

allow the posting of comments on mobile version of the site
it would be great to add if not video comments, text comments through both the mobile site and the iphone app

Provide pan/zoom control in iPhone app.
Pan and zoom is automatically imposed on the 3 still shots from iPhone. This should either be an on/off option, or we should be given control over pan/zoom direction: in/out, left/right, up/down.

Ability to re-record audio in iPhone app.
If you screw up your audio on the iPhone, you're screwed. Let us re-record before finalizing.

make an option to NOT tweet a specific video.
I love to be able to automatically Tweet my videos but I don't want to Tweet all of them. You should make a check box that allows you to either Tweet your new videos or not.

stop button when finished, not necessary 12 seconds under review
Sometimes I will like to say just a word, sometimes I my message will be 10 secs, so I would like to be able to stop recording.
it wouldn't be 12seconds then would it? ;) actually we may do this... Also if you submit a mobile post and it's less than 12seconds, it still works.

iPhone app needs audio count-in timer.
The audio timer is already at 11 seconds when iPhone is ready to record. Provide a 3-2-1 count in before recording starts.

allow the widgets to filter based on tag.
... that way I can tag some of my 12s posts with "work" and have them on our corporate blog (without all my other mundane posts showing up).
... just a thought ...

Add a Firefox extenstion
It would be great if there were a Firefox extension that worked similarly to the onsite upload feature so users didn't have to go to the site everytime they wanted to post a video.

allow audio preview on the iphone app.
on the iphone app you apparently get one chance to record audio. am i wrong in this? if so, an audio preview to see if you're happy with your recording would be nice.

Fix the player from cutting off the last second of audio.
It might just be a problem on OS X or specifically in Safari, but when I play back updates the last half-second of audio is cut off.

tog off the camera/microphone designation in recording area
It would be sexier if the user didnt have to see the type of camera and microphone assigned to record. once its set ,it should go away.

In the iPhone app - currently there is no way to draft an update and send later. We need that.

Need to be able to change the size of the embedded video planned
I just tried to embed my 12seconds video on my blog's sidebar but I can't seem to change the size of the video tile in the embed code. I tried changing the height and width requirements but it made no difference

Let me choose a thumbnail for my videos under review
12seconds automatically pics a thumbnail for videos (looks like it pics the middle frame of the video). If you happen to be blinking or mid sentence you risk looking mentally challenged.

Make an even smaller widget available planned
I'd love to see a completely streamlined widget with just the latest video and a link back to each user's channel. It would also be great if the video thumbnail was resizable so it would fit in smaller sidebars.

Change username
I would like to be able to change my username. I don't know why more services don't follow the example of Twitter and make the unique identifier an element hidden from the user. The username and email address should both be changeable because people themselves change.

12 second window under review
If you accept postings of up to, 15 seconds, then there were a 12 second window you could slide along the length of the file, then that would allow users to remove the first pause before the video starts and they start talking...and it may help with things being cut off at the end (like in the about us videos, for example).
The stuff at the end is more important than the pause at the start, and this minor edit would help make the postings look a bit cleaner (instead of forcing people to rush at the instant the device starts recording)
